DeLorme Topo North America is a program that allows you to scout your destination as if you were there, with up to date terrain, trail and road detail. It contains highly detailed lake, river and stream data for all 50 states, elevation data for all of the US, Canada and Mexico.
The app includes 27 different modules that enables you to make terrain studies.

Garmin could make a young fortune if they would just publish it with no upgrades.
This software has a couple of features I have been unable locate anywhere else.
